HX Expeditions
HX Expeditions offer unique, mindful expeditions to remote, awe-inspiring destinations. With expert-led adventures, all-inclusive packages, a focus on sustainability, and a friendly, intimate atmosphere, they provide inspiring travel experiences for the curious at heart.
HX Expeditions have been leading expedition cruises since 1896, taking adventure-seekers to the most remote and inspiring places on the planet. With six ships sailing to 13 destinations, including Antarctica and Iceland, sustainability and knowledge are at the forefront of every HX cruise. From cultural encounters to seeing wildlife up close, cruising with HX Expeditions is one adventure after the next. Experts will lead onshore excursions like hikes, community visits, and kayaking, and while onboard, enjoy talks and presentations. Visit the onboard science centre to learn about whale migration and the Northern Lights and leave the cruise with memories to last a lifetime.
The HX Expeditions Difference

World-Class Expedition Team
Encountering wildlife is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a highlight of any HX cruise. Excursions are led safely and responsibly, in small groups, by experts in their field. Wildlife will always be viewed from a safe distance, both out of respect for their welfare and your experience – witnessing their behaviour in their natural habitat is a moment to be cherished.

Impactful Sustainability Efforts
HX Expeditions was the first expedition company to ban non-essential, single-use plastic. While on board, you won't see plastic cups, plastic straws and plastic cutlery. Plastic bottles have also been replaced with complimentary high-quality reusable bottles for use at water refill stations you'll see around the ship.

Mindful Dining
HX Expeditions' onboard restaurants offer an array of fresh, in-season menus, including plant-based dishes, complimentary still or sparkling water, and soft drinks. Draught beers and house wines are included with all meals. As this is an HX cruise, there are also food management waste programmes on all ships; in 2023, there was a 22% decrease in food waste per guest.

Luxury Accommodation
A HX cabin is your home away from home but elevated: comfortable, unpretentious, and everything you need at your fingertips. Your inner adventure-seeker will love winding down on the private balcony after a busy day on an expedition. Some suites also feature outdoor hot tubs for a night gazing up at the stars. With a daily turn-down service, laundry, and champagne on ice as you set sail, you won’t want your HX cruise to end.
